How does laser wrinkle treatment work?

Dr. Hermenau uses the RevLite® SI laser from CynoSure® to resurface the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, and age spots. The laser treatment incorporates laser light energy from two wavelengths for mild to moderate skin imperfections.

The PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse™ (PTP) mode on the RevLite Si laser delivers two pulses of light microseconds apart to gently heat your skin. The heat first warms your skin on a cellular level to induce new cell turnover and collagen formation for a fuller, tighter appearance to your skin. Second, the light emitted is absorbed by areas of hyperpigmentation, which breaks down the excess pigment to fade sun spots and age spots.
